Some Ponderings From My Heart to Yours...

As most of you know, Caleb & I have been through a lot these past few weeks....Caleb started feeling sick, then we found out our baby Cadin was in Heaven, then Caleb got even more sick and had to go to the hospital, then we got tons of hospital bills! lol :) But through it all, we learned the God has been, is, and always will be, good! He has been sooo good to us and has blessed us tremendously through everything we've gone through!

People are funny...they know about Caleb's sickness and about my miscarriage, but most of them only ask how Caleb is doing because they are too scared to talk about the fact that we lost our baby... Only a few have asked how we were doing and if we needed anything...and that's fine! Realize I'm not mad or upset at them for not asking, I just think its funny that they're too scared to ask or show concern because they don't want to offend or say the wrong thing. Here's how I told one friend who actually asked how we were doing...I said "We're happy that Cadin is with Jesus and doesn't have to experience this world, but sad that we don't get to experience Cadin....but we know God is in control and that in His time and if its His will that I will get pregnant again and hopefully get to experience what it's like to raise one of God's children for His glory :)"

I was reading a book written by Catherine Marshall and came across a great thought....this book is about her husband's (Peter Marshall) death and her life after....its called "To Live Again"...this thought is from one of her husband's messages....he was the pastor of the Church of the Presidents and he was a chaplain in the White House....

There are in our day some philosophies growing
in popularity that teach the attractive idea
that God always reveals His love by removing the
distasteful and the unpleasant from our lives.

But where in the Bible do you find support
for this attractive and alluring concept?
Certainly not from the lips of Jesus.

On the contrary you are startled to discover how
plainly and bluntly Christ told His disciples to
expect trouble.

"In the world ye shall have tribulation.
But be of good cheer." That is His message.
"Be of good cheer...I have overcome the world."

No....Christians are not spared....
The calamities of life knock on their door
with the same startling swiftness...
and the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust.

There is no hint or intimation anywhere in the Gospel
that they who follow Him shall never hunger,
or be out of work,
or be left alone.

No, there is no hint of such immunity....
But there is the promise of something far better...
the promise of deliverance...
not from these things...

There is an air of reality about the Gospel...
it is not a fairy tale in which Cinderella's rags
are changed into the robes of a queen...
but rather a promise in which Cinderella in her rages
becomes more queenly.

Another great thought is sometimes God calms the storm, sometimes He calms His child....

Blessing at Mcds :)

Our friend Jacob got back into town on Saturday :) He invited Caleb & I to go out to eat with him, his fam, and two other friends at Don Juan's for dinner :) Caleb had to work but I went...They wanted to see Caleb so after dinner we all went to Mcds :) He got on break right as we got there! Jacob's mom is amazing at cutting hair....and Caleb's hair had gotten amazingly so she gave him a quick haircut on his the Mcds parking lot! ;) We had a great time fellowshipping :) After Caleb went back to work, she offered to give me a haircut also! I was ecstatic! I have been needing my hair cut for forever! lol :) So Caleb & I both got our hair cut in the parking lot of Mcds! for free! God loves us! :) Here's some pics :) The little boy is Jacob's brother Levi :) Love Y'all!

My Sweetie LOVES Me!!!!

My Sweetie loves me!!! I was at Staff Retreat all day today, and didn't get home till around ten....Caleb had to go to work at four, so currently I'm waiting for him and watching "I LOVE LUCY" :) When I got home, Caleb had left me several surprises!!! I walked in and there was a trail of pieces of paper that all said I LOVE YOU! on them :) they led up to a paper airplane that had a special message on it :) There was a letter on both couches for me :) There was a letter on the bed for me! There was a note on the desk...on the computer...on the on the washer and one on the counter in the bathroom!!!! He Loves ME!!! :) and I LOVE HIM!!!!! With all my heart! :) heehee :)

God is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

God is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Two days ago God blessed us with a major financial blessing!!! First a lady from the church in Mt. Ida drove all the way down to the daycare to bring me a card! It was for me and Caleb b/c he's been sick....the card had almost $300 in it!! I called Caleb and started crying... :) We praised God for awhile on the phone :) Then, after Caleb picked me up from work later that day...we checked our mail...2 ladies from his church back in Geneseo had mailed us cards! One had $25 in it and the other had $100 in it!!! God is AMAZING!!!!! Later that night Caleb took me on a wonderful date! :) We had an excellent dinner at Applebee's :) Love Y'all!

Our 3 Month Anniversary :)

Yesterday was our 3 month anniversary! :) We didn't go to Mt. Ida b/c we wanted to stay close to home in case Caleb started feeling sick....but we went to Gospel Light and got to hear the Inspirations! They're a southern gospel quartet :) They were wonderful! It was amazing! :)
I can't believe we've been married 3 months already! God has been sooooo good to us! Yes we've been through alot...but God has ALWAYS been by our side :) He has taken care of us above and beyond anything we could have ever asked for or thought of....God is amazing! Never take Him for granted!

Sorry I haven't updated in so long! lol After Caleb got out of the hospital on saturday we had to have a follow-up visit with Dr. Gardial on Monday. He said all his blood counts were up and getting better! So we went home and were very glad he was getting better... The curious thing is the whole time Caleb was sick before and in the hospital he never had a sore which is why they weren't sure if he had Mono or not....well after he got out of the hospital he finally developed a sore throat! lol :) So we took him back to Dr. Gardial on Tuesday to show him his sore throat.....Dr. Gardial almost started laughing when he saw us back :) He looked in Caleb's throat and was like yep! it's Mono! lol :) So he told him to go home and rest :) He kept him on the antibiotic for the tick fever though...just in is his first day back to work....he had to work 4-12:30.... :( Pray for him! He is off tomorrow and wednesday...then has to work 4-12:30 thursday, friday, and saturday :( He is going to be sooo tired! Pray that God will give him strength.....Thanks! Love Y'all! :)
